Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
The CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized perioperative care to cardiac surgery patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves supporting surgical teams before, during, and after cardiac procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and other critical parameters during procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure smooth operative flow.
• Document all intraoperative activities, patient responses, and procedural data accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and support patient stabilization as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of cardiovascular OR experience preferred.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical settings.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
