Overview Wake Emergency Physicians, PA (WEPPA) is an independent group of over 150 board-certified emergency medicine physicians and over 135 advanced practice providers in Raleigh, NC. WEPPA staffs several emergency departments in neighboring Johnston, Nash, Granville, Wayne and Lenoir counties, plus eight emergency departments within the WakeMed Health and Hospital system in Raleigh. We currently staff two emergency departments within the Johnston UNC Health Care system in Clayton and Smithfield, and emergency departments at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, UNC Health Wayne Emergency Department in Goldsboro, UNC Health Lenoir Emergency Department in Kinston, and Granville Medical Center in Oxford. The staffing environments range from rural centers and freestanding emergency departments to a large Level 1 Trauma Center with many providers across multiple areas.
