About the Position

The Account Executive is responsible for locating, signing up, training, and soliciting mortgage loans from mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, banks, and credit unions.

Essential Functions

• Develops, builds, and maintains long-term relationships with brokers, banks, and credit unions
• Makes routine sales calls on wholesale/correspondent customer base to solicit loan volume and maintain a robust pipeline continually
• Ensures successful onboarding of new business relationships
• Obtains all required loan documents and financial statements from prospective brokers, banks, and credit unions and sends for customer approval
• Works closely with processing and underwriting to ensure fast turnaround time and quality of underwriting of customers' loans
• Works closely with mortgage closers to ensure smooth, accurate, and high-quality loan closings
• Continually monitors the performance of accounts in the pipeline and provides expert customer service

Competencies

• Knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures
• Knowledge of mortgage loan regulatory requirements, residential products, and functions
• Desire to maximize personal productivity through attention to detail, self-motivation, and adaptability to achieve personal business plan goals
• Actively participate in opportunities to expand knowledge, influencing, and interpersonal skills through continuing educational opportunities

Education and Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales is preferred
• 2+ years of residential mortgage experience
• Established relationships with local referral networks

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanners, and fax machines.
