Science Reference Librarian

Supporting a federal library in North Carolina, the full-time hybrid Science Reference Librarian will manage reference and research inquiries, conduct complex literature searches, and develop research products while collaborating with federal staff and contractors. Key responsibilities Respond to reference and research inquiries using various service channels Conduct complex literature searches and develop research products such as literature reviews and bibliographies Provide training and create instructional materials to promote library resources and services Required qualifications Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution 2-3 years of professional librarian experience in academic, scientific, technical, or federal library environments Experience with scientific and technical databases such as Web of Science and Scopus Strong research and information retrieval skills Experience creating instructional materials and research guides
