Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistResponsibilitiesPerform timecard audits to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws; review and sign off on timecards for accuracy and approval.Maintain and update employee payroll records in UKG Pro, including new hires, terminations, benefit deductions, 401(k) elections, garnishments, tax withholdings, and direct deposit changes.Process retroactive pay and gross-up calculations for prizes, awards, and financial planning benefits. Administer severance payments in accordance with pre-established schedules and process termination and layoff payments as needed.Run pre-processing reports, assist in resolving pay issues as needed.Run post-processing reports and save integration files following payroll finalization to ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.Complete post processing tasks including the Hours Reconciliation, Payroll Comparison, Tax Reconciliation, Gross to Net Audit, Invoice Allocation, Plant Accounting Accrual Report, Multiple Worksite Reporting.Review and approve expense reports in Concur in accordance with company policy. Respond to expense-related inquiries and provide support to Associates as needed.Research and respond to payroll inquiries from Associates, internal departments in a timely and professional manner.Assist with ad hoc payroll-related tasks and special projects as needed.Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.Experience: 2+ years of payroll experience required. Experience with UKG Pro WFM is required. Proficiency in Excel is required. Workday and Concur experience are a bonus. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume processing environment with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Pay range is $26-28#LI-AS1#AFHR
