Senior Product Manager – Control Software

The Senior Product Manager – Control Software is a key member of the Digital Platform product line team within GE Vernova's Onshore Wind business. This role owns multi-generational strategy and product management for turbine controls hardware and firmware, spanning both the new product development roadmap and supporting the existing installed fleet. The ideal candidate bridges deep technical understanding with strong commercial acumen to drive competitive, reliable, and innovative embedded controls solutions. Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives. Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over budgets.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Own product management for turbine controls software and firmware, including release planning, feature prioritization, and commercialization.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Services, and Commercial teams to synthesize customer needs, field performance data, and market trends into actionable product differentiation strategy.
• Drive business case development, funding justification, and program oversight for both continuous improvement initiatives on existing platforms and next-generation controls development.
• Define and manage the embedded controls product requirements, balancing new product requirements with fleet sustainability and lifecycle strategy.
• Collaborate with SCADA, Condition Monitoring, and Grid Integration product managers to ensure cross-platform compatibility and identify opportunities for integrated solutions.
• Serve as a customer-facing subject matter expert, supporting contract negotiations, technical reviews, and Inquiry-To-Order (ITO) activities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments relevant to turbine controls and embedded systems.

Required Qualifications:

• For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Sales & Digital Sales Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with embedded systems, real-time controls, or hardware/firmware product development.
• Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
• Familiarity with wind turbine operation, turbine control systems, or power electronics.
• Prior experience in a formal product management or product ownership role.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear business cases and product decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and align diverse stakeholders around a shared product vision.
