Part-time Electrical Engineering Professor - Continuous Pool

Clark College is seeking a part‑time Electrical Engineering Professor who can create and maintain an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. The role is part of the Electrical Engineering department and involves teaching introductory courses, employing innovative pedagogical techniques, and contributing to departmental activities. Applicants must be able to teach daytime, evening, or weekend hours as required. The position is ongoing, with hiring events occurring throughout the year, and is not eligible for employee‑sponsored benefits. Responsibilities Instruct introductory Electrical Engineering courses. Apply pedagogical techniques and subject‑matter expertise to facilitate student learning. Participate in department activities that support the teaching and learning environment. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback. Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College. Minimum Qualifications and Competencies Master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution. Two (2) or more years of electrical engineering development or related teaching experience. Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Salary Statement Lecture hourly rate: $93.18; lab hourly rate: $79.59. Condition of Employment Prior to hire, a background check—including a criminal record and sexual misconduct check—is required. A Vocational Certification plan must be in place before the first day of classes; continued employment depends on maintaining certification in accordance with Washington Administrative Code and State Board regulations.
