Quick Facts: Location: Greenville, SC at 1 Saint Francis Drive Start Date: 09/05/2026 Duration: Intermittent coverage, starting September 2026 Shift: ICU shift from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM; Hospital coverage from 7:30 AM 5:00 PM Hours/Week: Varies based on schedule Employment Type: Contract/Locum License/Certs: South Carolina Medical License, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care, Active Medical License Experience: Prior ICU and hospital pulmonology experience required Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay (rate discussed upon application) Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program and dedicated support team What You ll Do: Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management and life support measures Provide general pulmonary consults and inpatient care for adult and geriatric populations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system Cover up to 20 ICU beds, including CCU and CVICU, while managing approximately 10-15 patients daily in ICU and general pulmonology consults Participate in hospital-based patient management and crisis response as needed What You Need: Active South Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one Board Certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine 3+ years of ICU and hospital-based pulmonary experience Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs Strong collaboration and communication skills About the Assignment: This assignment offers a full inpatient pulmonology and critical care experience at a reputable Greenville hospital with 38 total beds and high ICU census. You ll be part of a team of 1-2 physicians providing essential care to diverse adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on ICU management and general pulmonology consults. The hospital features modern facilities including Epic EMR, with ample support staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
