Step into a pivotal role making a daily difference for young learners as an Intervention Specialist. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support Kindergarten students in a dynamic and inclusive educational environment. You'll focus on tailored interventions and collaborative approaches through the end of the academic year in a highly supportive school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Ohio certification/license: Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with multiple disabilities
- Strong track record of working collaboratively with fellow staff and diverse student populations
- Skilled in small group instruction, resource room settings, and inclusive classroom models
- Proficiency in accessing and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and respectful environment for all learners
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Kindergarten students, utilizing inclusive and resource room-based teaching strategies
- Lead small group tutoring sessions that address unique academic and behavioral goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and other specialists to create cohesive support plans
- Monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary for optimal outcomes
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student growth and IEP updates
- Maintain diligent records and participate in IEP meetings as a knowledgeable advocate for student needs
