Assignment Overview – Special Education Teacher (Eastpointe, MI)

We are seeking Special Education Teachers for a school-based assignment in Eastpointe, MI . In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs while collaborating with administrators, general education staff, and families to ensure student success.

Position Details

• Location: Eastpointe, MI

• Position: Special Education Teacher

• Schedule: 31 hours per week

• Pay Rate: $45+/hr based on experience and credentials

• Contract Length: 8 Months

• Start Date: 09/28/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to special education students.

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families.

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements.

• Participate in evaluations, IEP meetings, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Valid state teaching certification required.

• Special Education certification and/or LBS1 endorsement preferred.

• Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.

• Ability to work effectively with students requiring moderate behavioral support.

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
