Synergy Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to support our client, an established contractor on a large-scale industrial construction project in De Soto, Kansas .

This role will support project scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and overall project performance. The ideal candidate will have previous project controls experience within industrial construction, engineering, manufacturing, or another large-scale project environment.

Location: De Soto, KS – Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 40 hours per week
Duration: Approximately 6 months
Pay: $38.00–$42.00 per hour, based on experience
Position Type: Contract / Project-Based

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules, budgets, and project baselines
• Track project costs, expenditures, forecasts, and change activity
• Prepare reports and dashboards covering schedule, cost, progress, and overall project performance
• Support earned value analysis (EVA) and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking
• Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, reports, and supporting records
• Identify potential schedule delays, cost impacts, and project risks and assist with corrective action planning
• Collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, finance, and project management teams to support project objectives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Controls, Scheduling, or a related role
• Industrial construction or large-scale project experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and/or project cost management systems
• Working knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and change management
• Familiarity with earned value management and project performance metrics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field preferred
