Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Technologist – Outpatient is responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality. They also provide basic patient care and support clinical staff to facilitate efficient outpatient services.

Responsibilities:

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images with precision and clarity.
• Position patients appropriately for chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle X-rays.
• Process and document images into PACS, maintaining image accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting specimens if qualified.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized imaging area, ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Support floating to Main Radiology as needed, adhering to all protocol standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT).
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Possess a California Fluoroscopy Permit and ARRT licensure.
• Demonstrate EPIC EMR experience.
• Previous travel or temporary staffing experience preferred.
