Key Qualifications & Credentials:

• Must hold a valid Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Sign Language Interpreter License (HR waiver not permitted)
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings is highly valued
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
• Ability to adapt to different classroom and student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 sign language interpretation for students, ensuring clear access to classroom instruction and activities
• Deliver in-person services exclusively—remote or virtual work is not offered in this placement
• Split responsibilities between a part-time assignment at Alliance Academy and part-time floating coverage as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other school professionals to support student success
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards

Position Details:

• Full-time hours available through the duration of the school year, with a consistent, long-term schedule
• Start as soon as possible and continue supporting students through May 27, 2027
