Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Complex Intervention Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct adult acute care and medical-surgical nursing care within a specialized unit serving patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 on the acute care side and 1:4 on the behavioral health side
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across a dual-sided, badge-access-secured unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as required
• Document all patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health record system
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
