Maintenance Technician

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician 2nd ShiftThe Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and systems. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and support efficient manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and systemsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to restore equipment functionalityConduct inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential problems before they cause downtimeRepair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, and precision instrumentsLearn and leverage CMMS maintenance software for preventive maintenance, spare parts inventories, and documentation regarding critical machinery / equipment. Create, update, complete work orders.Assist with development of critical safety procedures such as lock out tag out and risk assessments.Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reportsCollaborate with production staff and engineers to improve equipment reliability and efficiencyEnsure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirementsLead, coordinate, assist in the installation and setup of new equipmentParticipate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to optimize production and maintenance processesSkills & Qualifications3-5 years maintenance experience in a modern manufacturing environment working on automated machinery, or degree from a formal maintenance school / institutionStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsProficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power toolsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work flexible hours and emergency situations as neededDesired AttributesSafety-conscious mindsetStrong communication and teamwork skillsAdaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCommitment to continuous learning and skill developmentWork EnvironmentManufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving partsRequires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Physical demands include standing, lifting, bending, and working in confined spacesOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
