Portfolio Manager

CSP has partnered with a well-established and growing independent wealth management firm in the Baltimore area seeking a Portfolio Manager to join its investment team. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership on portfolio management, investment research, client presentations, business development initiatives, and client service. This is a highly visible role that offers meaningful exposure to firm leadership, sophisticated investment strategies, and high-net-worth clients, with excellent long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with wealth advisors to evaluate and manage client investment portfolios, including portfolio implementation, rebalancing, reinvestment of proceeds, tax-loss harvesting, cash management, and trade execution.
• Prepare investment analyses and develop high-quality client presentations and reporting materials.
• Utilize advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills to support investment recommendations and client communications.
• Assist advisors with business development efforts and prospective client opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong understanding of public markets, alternative investments, and financial planning concepts.
• Support the delivery of customized investment solutions tailored to each client's financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site 5 days/week in Baltimore office.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Four or more years of relevant experience in portfolio management, investment management, wealth management, investment banking, institutional investments, or a related financial services environment.
• CFP designation preferred; CFA, CPA/PFS, or Series 65/66 also considered.
• Experience working with registered investment advisors (RIA) or wealth management firms is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
• Experience with custodial platforms is a plus.
