SHIFT MANAGER - RN-NURSING ADMINISTRATION PDN(AS NEEDED)

Shift Manager

Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need. Refer back to posting on which shift is available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

This position is based within Jefferson Regional Nursing Administration.

Job Summary:

The Shift Manager ensures the delivery of quality patient care on all shifts. This position ensures appropriate resource utilization and allocation throughout the nursing departments on off shifts, weekends, and holidays. Further, they facilitate the growth and development of staff, assist with appropriate delegation and priority setting, act as resources to nursing staff, demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively with the Clinical Managers to assure consistent implementation of policies, and demonstrate personal and professional accountability while supporting the mission and vision of Jefferson Regional.

Shift Manager Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS/CPR required upon hire or prior to patient care.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS preferred.
• Current Arkansas Registered Nurse License.

• Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 years of acute care nursing experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure while staying calm
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous experience as shift manager, department manager, or patient care coordinator
  • 1 year of experience in supervision preferred
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis
  • Proficiency in electronic documentation
