Move cylinders to appropriate processing areas. Refurbish cylinders by removing labels. Paint and apply temperature coating to cylinders. Contribute to the visual inspection of gas cylinders. Integrate new cylinder valves in both low and high pressure cylinders. Utilize and manage vacuum pumps, cylinder driers, cylinder bake out system, high pressure manifolds, and associated equipment. Support the organization of prepped cylinder inventory, allocates cylinders to customer orders. Maintain the cylinder yard in a clean and orderly manner. Store cylinders in appropriate locations by service, size, and valve type; contribute to valve and cylinder inventory. Perform forklift operations or obtain certification as required. Load compressed gas cylinders onto and off of cylinder pallets. Manage caustic scrubber to dispose of toxic gases. Load and unload common carrier trucks and Airgas shuttles. Ensure upkeep of cylinder prep equipment. Keep a clean and orderly work area. Collaborate with leadership regarding Health and Safety and ISO Quality programs. Contribute to other team priorities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Comprehension of basic math skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software. Ability to clearly write and fill out a report in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, safety data sheets, and procedure manuals in English. Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in unit measurements. Ability to read pressure and temperature indicators. Ability to connect and disconnect filling lines. Ability to move gas cylinders. Ability to work in a team environment, make decisions, and solve problems. Availability to work all shifts and accommodate all weather conditions. Physical Abilities The physical demands of this job include: standing, using hands and arms, speaking and hearing; lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; and visual tasks such as close, distance, color vision and focusing.
