Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Santa Clarita, CA Overview: Our privately owned practice in Santa Clarita is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to provide on-site phlebotomy and screening services directly to First Responders at fire stations. This field-based role offers a hands-on alternative to a traditional clinical setting. Position Offers Schedule: 7:00 AM–2:00 PM Assignment dates: September 10–12, September 17–19, September 22–24, September 29–October 1, October 8–10 Competitive pay: $22.00–25.00 per hour (DOE) Drive time and mileage reimbursement Opportunity to work directly with First Responders in the field Approximately 10 patients per day Multiple scheduled assignment dates available Key Responsibilities Travel to designated fire stations, setting up and breaking down phlebotomy workstations as needed Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures safely and efficiently in field-based settings Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide compassionate, professional care Take and document patient vitals and complete required patient documentation Label, handle, and prepare specimens for transport according to established protocols Maintain cleanliness, organization, and infection control standards across varied field settings Communicate with clinical staff and coordinators to ensure smooth scheduling and operations Respond to changing schedules and patient volumes with flexibility while maintaining safety and quality standards Qualifications Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) licensure in California required Current BLS/CPR certification required Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience Experience in an outpatient or mobile/field-based setting preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required NIOSH certification a plus, but not required Why Join Us Join a team providing meaningful, on-site healthcare support directly to First Responders, with the opportunity to work independently in a variety of field settings outside the traditional clinic.
