Project Manager - Greater Philadelphia

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university
• A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction relevant to this region
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Capability to meet physical requirements, including movement and lifting relevant to the job
• Preferred:
• Ten years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction relevant to this region
• Certified PEOSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training

• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Maintain current project progress information and labor/material cost data for effective project control
• Develop and update the overall project schedule on at least a monthly basis; review schedules with the superintendent
• Collaborate with foreman and superintendent for project execution, managing subcontractor coordination
• Work with purchasing to requisition materials and provide necessary coding for invoices
• Implement changes that result in change orders
• Collaborate with the Estimator to process plan revisions for change orders and distribute as necessary
• Handle Additional Work Authorizations (AWAs) for change order submissions
• Coordinate and address change orders or technical issues with clients, suppliers, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Review project cost reports daily
• Conduct site visits for troubleshooting and ensuring project quality, at least once a week
• Oversee project security and safety measures
• Prepare project AIA Billing requisitions in collaboration with the project secretary
• Review all purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices for correct project coding
• Maintain comprehensive project files including submittals, shop drawings, maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and punch lists
• Occasionally meet with subcontractors/suppliers to enhance project coordination
• Maintain a log for submittals and shop drawings
• Assist with transitions to new projects and pre-job planning
• Chair all project meetings
• Strive to meet or exceed project objectives as outlined in the pre-job planning process
• Provide monthly updates on project completion status to the accounting department
• Analyze job costs against the budget on a monthly basis
• Report to upper management monthly on gross margin improvement strategies and achievements
• Perform other duties as assigned
