Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter shipment orders into proprietary Transportation Management Systems
• Contact drivers for track and trace activities and GPS configuration
• Communicate with account managers regarding operational issues and collaborate on solution implementation
• Request and retrieve proof of delivery documentation and backup paperwork from vendors
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and consignees
• Maintain professional and courteous customer service relationships with associates and carriers
• Support upper management with project-based initiatives
• Mentor and lead junior staff
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members

 

Requirements:

• Minimum of a High School diploma
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Experience in order entry, appointment scheduling, and shipment tracking
• Previous transportation industry experience
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) 
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with diverse personalities
• Enthusiastic team player with collaborative mindset
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional computer proficiency
