Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: The IFH Group IL - Rock Falls, IL 61071, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent, Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: First shift, Job Category: General Labor, Material Handler I reports directly to the Finish Supervisor and prioritizes safety while operating powered industrial trucks including motorized pallet jack to locate parts, products, pallets, or powders and delivers to respective areas. Responsibilities and Essential Functions Uses and operates powered industrials trucks to load and unload materials while preserving the integrity of the materials and prioritizing safety, quality, and service excellence. Leads by example and prioritizes safety and quality by working with care and caution, following safety processes and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment, and completing training requirements timely. Delivers materials, supplies, and parts to respective areas, and stages finished products for final distribution. Provides powder for the day and returns powder to appropriate storage area at the end of shift. Tracks products or materials by following internal processes and procedures. Pulls orders from inventory, as necessary or upon request. Contributes to orderly operation of stock and materials storage area. Locates and packs shipping materials, and assists with timely fulfillment and delivery of products. Prioritizes responsibilities appropriately and notifies direct supervisor of critical issues without delay. Performs other relevant logistical and material handling duties, tasks, assignments, and projects, upon request or as business needs require. Physical Demands Constant sitting with repetitious hand and finger movements and foot or leg controls to use and operate powered industrial truck; constant moving/traversing with repetitious hand and finger movements to use and operate equipment and tools; detect, perceive, identify, observe, inspect, and assess safety and material handling operations; express and exchange information in-person. Frequent moving/traversing and positioning self, reaching overhead and at or below the shoulder; moving and positioning objects up to 50 lbs. Occasional ascending/descending stairs with moving/traversing throughout building. Work Environment Constantly works in manufacturing setting on the shop floor with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels at or above 100 decibels on average. Working on the shop floor requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear with metatarsal guard. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong work ethic with integrity while prioritizing safety, quality, and service excellence. Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate and use powered industrial trucks including motorized pallet jack. Ability and knowledge to use and apply basic understanding of material handling operations in manufacturing setting. Ability and knowledge to use and apply sound judgement. Ability, knowledge, and skill to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization as well as subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to safety and code of conduct. Ability and skill to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
