The successful candidate will reside in one of Project Farma’s primary markets and be willing to travel domestically to meet client project requests. Market locations include Boston, Philadelphia, DMV, Northern New Jersey, Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, St. Louis, Kansas City, Raleigh‑Durham, Houston, Dallas, Boulder, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Project Farma’s purpose is to improve patient lives by accelerating the delivery of life‐changing therapies. The team collaborates with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high quality life sciences projects throughout the full project lifecycle and supports organizational success by providing financial performance, operational efficiency and continuous improvement, while investing in people through mentorship and professional development. Key Responsibilities Practice Strategy & Ownership – Define and execute a multi‑year strategic roadmap, own the lifecycle of service offerings, conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis, lead annual practice planning, set revenue targets, and ensure sustainable growth. Service Excellence & Operational Execution – Establish and enforce delivery standards, methodologies and quality assurance protocols; develop reusable assets, playbooks, and accelerators; conduct regular project audits and post‑mortems; partner with delivery and operations teams for resource allocation. Talent Development & Capability Building – Mentor and develop high‑potential consultants, collaborate with HR to define hiring profiles, lead training programs and certification pathways, and foster a culture of innovation, excellence and inclusion. Thought Leadership & Market Positioning – Represent the company as a domain expert through speaking engagements, panel participation, industry publications, and thought leadership content; build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, industry bodies, and technology providers. Business Development & Strategic Growth – Work with Client Engagement and Sales teams to shape go‑to‑market strategies, serve as technical lead in RFP responses, identify new revenue streams, and support strategic accounts with practice capabilities. Experience & Education Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience in CQV engineering, cGMP facility start‑up, project management and/or comparable military experience). 25+ years in life sciences, biotech or advanced manufacturing with deep domain knowledge. Proven experience building and scaling a consulting practice or technical service line. Strategic Thinking – Ability to translate market signals into actionable strategies and service innovation. Delivery Excellence – Strong background in managing complex, multi‑disciplinary consulting engagements. People Leadership – Demonstrated success in mentoring, coaching and developing high‑performing teams. Market Presence – Recognized thought leader with visible presence in industry forums and publications. Communication – Exceptional communication, negotiation, executive presentation and stakeholder management skills. Travel – Willingness to travel domestically as required. Preferred – Advanced degree (MBA, MS or PhD) in engineering, life sciences or business. Professional Network – Established network within pharmaceutical, biotech or cell and gene therapy organizations. Industry Participation – Active participation in industry organizations such as ISPE, PDA or RAPS. Compensation Annual compensation range: $200,000 – $250,000. The final base pay offered will be determined by factors such as internal equity, work location, and individual qualifications.
