Why does the job exist? The Communication & Education Coordinator will: Provide operational and coordination support for the Communication and Education Bureau Presumptive Eligibility program required as part of H.R.1 implementation; Assist and support Presumptive Eligibility internal and external program operational efforts and communications; Support day-to-day execution of program requirements and engagement efforts by assisting with program coordination, documentation, tracking, and communication activities for Medicaid'sPresumptive Eligibility Program; Ensure H.R.1 engagement activities are implemented consistently and meet Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility program requirements and supports effective communication with internal teams and external partners. How does it get done? The Communication & Education Coordinator is responsible for: Supporting the implementation of stakeholder engagement activities by developing communications and engagement materials, executing and attending community events, scheduling meetings, tracking action items, supporting communication with internal and external partners, and assisting with data collection related to engagement efforts; Supporting consistent execution of engagement activities and maintaining accurate records to support reporting and program monitoring. Who are the customers? Internal stakeholders across Health Care Authority (HCA) and Medical Assistance Division (MAD), as well as external partners and organizations participating in H.R.1 related engagement activities. Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate has experience: Supporting stakeholder or community engagement activities within health care, human services, or public-sector programs, including communications, marketing, stakeholder outreach, and event/campaign participation; Coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and supporting communication with internal and external partners; Preparing documentation, summaries, and basic reports to support program activities; Assisting with data collection and tracking to support monitoring and reporting needs; Working collaboratively within a team and following established processes and guidance; Communicating clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders; Supporting implementation activities in a regulated or compliance-driven environment; Managing assigned tasks and priorities in support of larger program goals. Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must obtain a Defensive driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting.
