Production Supervisor- 3rd Shift

Join Garlock as a Third Shift Production Supervisor in Palmyra, NY. We are looking for a dedicated supervisor to lead a production team on the third shift, driving continuous improvement and ensuring efficient operations. Job Summary Lead and coordinate production teams to achieve established results while guiding, providing support, removing barriers, holding individuals and teams accountable, and driving continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between the production team and the rest of the organization. Responsibilities Responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the production schedule, jobs, and load levels. Manage the material requirements plan through the proper use of planned orders, firm planned orders, and released work orders. Follow up on the progress of orders and expedite as necessary to ensure on‑time shipment. Maintain close communication with Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Customer Service. Collaborate with Accounting and Manufacturing on material requisitions, production reporting, and inventory accuracy. Analyze assigned inventories and establish appropriate inventory planning factors. Manage the cycle count process and initiate corrective action to prevent future errors. Lead and manage physical inventory in assigned areas. Coordinate personnel assignments; ensure work flow between work centers and shifts is executed as scheduled. Ensure efficient use of labor hours, materials, and machines. Direct proper care of all equipment, facilities, and machines within the unit. Conduct cross‑training of employees. Communicate information on problems, projects, and schedules to other team members as needed. Track e‑time, points accumulation, and disciplinary status of machine cell employees. Identify employee issues promptly and collaborate with Operations Manager, Product Management, and Human Resources for resolution. Support colleagues in self‑direction and development initiatives. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of supervisory experience required. Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of a manufacturing environment preferred. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. Previous technical background preferred. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment; work may involve both office and manufacturing floor duties. Physical Requirements Perform sedentary work on the computer for extended periods. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Compensation typically ranges from $63,000 to $106,000 annually, with potential bonus, gain‑share, and equity participation.
