Packaging Technician

Job ResponsibilitiesSafe and efficient operations by completing, supporting, and participating in all assigned tasksEnsure all Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production policies, procedures, SOPs, and regulations related to the area are followedLoading of finished products in various bulk containersPackage material to correct weight and verify label and packaging documentation.Complete Packaging Reports as well as complete daily inspectionsDaily Production quota set by Unit SupervisionMonitor the process in the field and/or in control room to identify and report unusual and unsafe conditionsIdentify routine maintenance requirementsPerform minor maintenance to piping and equipment as neededParticipate in activities, meetings, and projects which will enhance plant safety, environmental, reliability, cost, and production performanceMust be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment.Experience / SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to perform multiple functions simultaneouslyAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe mannerAbility to lift 60 lbsMechanical aptitude (Proper tools for maint. activity) within the plantExperience in operating a forklift or ability to learnGood problem-solving skillsBasic Computer SkillsWho We AreLANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with about 12,000 employees in 32 countries.
