Facility Maintenance Technician

The purpose of this position is to support the ongoing physical operations of the company to include building maintenance, interior repairs, replacement of FF&E, and other necessary tasks that arise on a daily basis. This position may be utilized to perform painting, plumbing, light, electrical, general repairs, vehicle maintenance, as well as landscaping. The FMT will also work with the facilities team to plan and execute all new clinic/facility openings to include transporting furniture and supplies and setting up the facility for clinic or administrative use.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Proficient in carpentry, general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record free of disciplinary restrictions.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports new facility setup and renovation projects including extensive travel up to 10-14 weeks per year occasionally for over a week at a time.
  • Works overtime as needed with sufficient notice to meet departmental goals, project deadlines, and urgent maintenance needs.
  • Responds to facility maintenance requests within 48 hours and coordinates necessary on-site work promptly.
  • Maintains secures and tracks all tools and supplies required for efficient job performance.
  • Keeps maintenance vehicle clean, safe, and in good working order, reports issues promptly and ensures timely servicing in compliance with regulations.
  • Accurately logs all maintenance and vehicle service activities including vendor details, VIN, and repair times, submits records with bi-weekly payroll.
  • Maintains open communication with site managers, gathers feedback on maintenance needs, and adjusts tasks accordingly.
  • Actively engages in safety programs, quality improvement initiatives, and other team-based activities.
  • Attends required in-services and complies with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicates respectfully with staff and patients and strictly maintains patient confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
