Quality Manager

Location: Dover, NJ Area

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive quality excellence across our manufacturing operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute quality strategies that support business objectives, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians to build a high performing quality organization.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause investigations, risk management, and nonconforming material processes, including MRB activities.
  • Plan and lead internal, customer, supplier, and third party audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, audit results, corrective actions, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve manufacturing processes, reduce risk, and enhance product quality.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for customers and suppliers, supporting issue resolution, supplier development, and new product introductions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing or other regulated industry, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, CAPA, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, auditing, and quality management systems.
  • Proven success leading quality organizations and collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and executive leadership.
  • Experience driving supplier quality improvements, audit programs, and customer quality initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
