Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney in Brooklyn, NY. The firm is expanding its Matrimonial Department and is looking for an attorney with 7-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing quality counsel and personalized service. Duties Prepare pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs. Appear in various courts throughout the tri-state area. Direct cases through the litigation cycle and develop cost-effective strategies. Manage a large volume of cases and attend court as necessary. Organize and track case status and assist in managing attorney court appearances and calendars. Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family matters. Requirements 7-10 years of experience in matrimonial/family law. Strong work ethic and organizational skills. Excellent oral communication skills and ability to interact with clients and court staff. Team player with a collaborative attitude. Knowledge of Supreme Court and Family Court procedures. Education Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications NY Bar admittance required. Skills Superb writing skills. Great organization and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
