Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts while also overseeing employee benefits administration and HR compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic recruiting, employee engagement, benefits management, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

The position partners closely with leadership, hiring managers, external vendors, and employees across multiple locations to ensure a high-quality candidate and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle recruitment across a variety of professional and leadership-level positions
• Develop creative sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, networking platforms, referrals, and targeted outreach
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, evaluate talent, and support hiring decisions
• Conduct resume reviews, screenings, and candidate assessments
• Coordinate offer processes, including compensation alignment and offer negotiations
• Serve as a subject matter expert for applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms
• Maintain relationships with staffing vendors and external recruiting partners
• Support internship and workforce development initiatives
• Assist with compensation benchmarking and market analysis activities
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including OFCCP, EEO, FLSA, and related reporting requirements
• Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate HR and recruiting documentation
• Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary offerings
• Support annual open enrollment planning and employee communications
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution
• Partner with benefits brokers and vendors to support plan administration and renewals
• Assist with retirement plan administration and employee inquiries
• Manage onboarding activities, orientation coordination, and employee data maintenance within HRIS systems
• Prepare HR metrics, reporting, and analytics for leadership review
• Supervise HR administrative support staff and assist with workflow coordination
• Support company wellness initiatives, employee engagement activities, and organizational events

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to recruiting and benefits administration
• Experience supporting multi-state organizations preferred
• Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance regulations including FLSA, OFCCP, EEO, and FCRA
• Prior experience within government contracting or related environments strongly preferred
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now and applicant tracking systems preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with candidates, hiring managers, executives, and external vendors
• Experience handling compensation discussions and offer negotiations
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus
