Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook and Aid to join our team! As a key member of our Dietary Department, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals and snacks to our residents and staff. Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility
Follow written and oral instructions concerning the preparation of foods, liquids, and dietary methods
Demonstrate knowledge of seasoning, cooking time required, and characteristics of various cuts of meat, poultry, fish, grains, fruits, and vegetables
Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation environment, adhering to all food safety regulations
Lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor and Administrator to ensure smooth operations of the Dietary Department
Work Schedule:
Sunday:12p.m-8p.m
Monday: 5am-1p.m
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 5a.m-1pm
Friday: 12p.m-8p.m
Saturday: 12p.m-8p.m
Requirements:
1 year of cooking experience required
Food service and sanitation license and/or certification required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
