Join Our Caring CommunityThe Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.The Pharmacy Technician 2 will report to the Pharmacist Lead and will retrieve, count, and measure drugs. In addition, you will:Assist the Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.Access, input, and retrieves prescription information from computer.Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.May operate a cash register.Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.Required QualificationsActive unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician licenseMinimum 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacy TechnicianSkilled in using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. and ability to learn new systems and platformsThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to complete the TB screen.Preferred QualificationsExperience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail environmentNationally Certified with PTCBBilingual (Spanish Speaking)Certified to administer ImmunizationsWorkstyle: OfficeLocations: 228 Alexander St. Plant City, FL 33563Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute scheduled lunch break from 12:30 to 1 PM.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
