General ManagerMarriott Tribute Collection Hotel – Lake Placid, NY Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our exceptional team at a Marriott Tribute Collection hotel in Lake Placid, NY. This unique property combines boutique charm with modern elegance, catering to guests seeking a distinct and memorable stay. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in hotel management, and an exceptional background in Food & Beverage (F&B) operations, as F&B is a key component of our guest experience. Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership: * Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, F&B, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure profitability and operational excellence. * Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with Marriott Tribute Collection standards and the hotel’s unique positioning. * Food & Beverage Excellence: * Lead and innovate the F&B operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service, ensuring high-quality offerings and seamless guest experiences. * Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team to craft creative menus, drive revenue, and maintain cost controls. * Cultivate a culture of service excellence and unique dining experiences that align with the Tribute Collection brand. * Guest Experience: * Foster a guest-centric culture by ensuring every guest interaction reflects the hotel’s commitment to personalized service and unique experiences. * Regularly engage with guests to gather feedback and continuously improve operations. * Team Development: * Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team across all departments. * Promote a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and growth within the organization. * Financial Performance: * Achieve or exceed financial targets, including GOP, RevPAR, and F&B profitability. * Develop and manage the hotel’s budget, ensuring effective cost control and maximized revenues. * Community Engagement: * Represent the hotel in the Lake Placid community, cultivating relationships with local businesses, vendors, and stakeholders. * Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight the property’s local connections and unique offerings. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in hotel management roles, with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage operations. * Proven ability to lead and manage upscale or boutique hotel properties. * Demonstrated success in creating memorable F&B experiences and driving F&B profitability. * Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. * Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and systems is a plus. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
