FamilyServes as a standard bearer for Manatt's mission to safely do everything we do better than anyone else and purpose of building legacies through standards of excellence.Promotes, lives and exemplifies Manatt's values: Family, Excellence and Human Potential.Supports, adheres to, and vocalizes company safety standards and policies ensuring they and everyone they interact with goes home in the same condition they came to work.Participates in clear and regular two-way communications with everyone at facility or projects associated with facility, including jobsite safety conditions and directions.Supports, assists, and encourages teammates at the plant, jobsite, and elsewhere, to create a safe and enjoyable workplace.Supports and assists customers, including at jobsites, to create the best possible customer experience and ensure Manatt's is the supplier of choice.ExcellenceEnsures he/she is using his/her time efficiently and effectively.Ensures he/she is using his/her supervisor's, dispatch, and management's time appropriately.Ensures he/she is using his/her peers' time appropriately.Ensures assigned equipment meets company efficiency, safety, and excellence standards.Ensures proper servicing and maintenance for assigned equipment, using pre and post trip inspections, through coordination with management, shop maintenance personnel, and Operations to uphold Manatt's standards.Ensures ready mix truck is in compliance with state and federal regulations, including maintenance of pre and post trip inspection reports, drum certification, and current registration and insurance card, and performs preventative maintenance service and minor repairs on truck.Positions truck to receive materials that may include course and fine aggregates, cement, chemical admixtures, and water.Understands proper ticket information such as: mix product, load size, targeted slump, and route/jobsite directions.Visually inspects every load to ensure the quality adheres to Manatt's standard of excellence and maintains accountability for desired characteristics of hydraulic concrete until delivery completed.Assembles and disassembles chutes.Safely positions chutes and controls the discharge process into various concrete placement units such as: wheelbarrow, conveyer, pump, or direct pour into designated form.Ensures that all documentation has been properly noted, including on a tablet or such other program as necessary, such as water adjustments, test results, customer signature, and any procedures used that could jeopardize the quality of Manatt's product.Safely cleans mixer drum, hopper, and chutes, including post-delivery, by using handheld scraper, onboard water, and water hose to ensure the truck always represents a high standard of excellence. Cleans inside of mixer drum as needed to prevent excessive build-up of hardened concrete.Operates in a safe manner and abides with traffic laws, rules, and regulations of State and Federal Departments of Transportation, laws governing hazardous materials and placards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations and company rules/safety directives.Operates loader and other ready-mix equipment, as needed.Human PotentialCommits to continuous personal improvements on the path towards being best self.Listens and coordinates with team members and available resources to ensure all can be their best self, analyzes and resolves work obstacles and assists in solving problems.Participates with management to set and adhere to personal goals in line with Manatt's core values.Assists and encourages all team members on their journey of continuous growth.Open minded and willingness to adapt to the technological changes in an evolving industry.Provides customer feedback and their own personal observations of the delivery process in a constructive manner with the goal of improving the customer experience.Positively represents and promotes Manatt's at jobsites and elsewhere, to customers, potential customers, and potential team members.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years customer service-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge, Skills and AbilityMechanical inclined to learn functions of ready-mix truck components including electrical, pneumatics, compressed air, water systems, and computerized mixer controls.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, batching and dispatching programs, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages to develop and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement (or class A permit with ability to obtain CDL within 45 days of employment.) Current IDOT Physical required upon obtaining CDL and must remain current thereafter.Other QualificationsAcceptable driving recordExcellent work ethic.Ability to work seasonally.
