Turley Dental Care Dental Assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in the delivery of quality oral health care when the patient wants. The dental assistant is an integral member of the dental care team. The dental assistant will have exceptional communication skills, be energetic and a motivated professional. They will strive to help educate patients of their oral health, preventative dental care, and are committed to provide comprehensive restorative dental care.Duties:Perform all duties with excellence and in accordance with the Turley Dental Care Code of ConductDirecting and assisting the dentist in a variety of treatment procedures.Asking about and recording patient’s medical history to ensure proper documentation of any major medical conditions, allergies or health safety concerns before treatment is performed and relaying all findings to the Dentist.Taking blood pressure and pulseGathering diagnostic dental records.Obtain and possess the RHS certification allowing assistants to obtain diagnostic radiographs and CT scansPerforming proper charting and documentation in patients Electronic Health RecordProvide personalized and comfortable dental care during and after dental treatmentProviding patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment proceduresCreate a trusting relationship with patients in order to enroll the patient in acceptance of treatmentAbility to take dental impressions accurately and efficiently.Achieved a unified coordinated approach by working closely with the Shift Supervisor to provide the highest level of clinical care, achieving production, productivity, quality and customer-service standardsDevelop skill sets in a variety of dental procedures in order to advance career opportunities within the organization. Proficient in procedures included, but not limited to Root Canal Therapy, Crown and Bridge, Oral Surgery, Fillings, Removable Dentures as well as assisting hygienists in prophylaxis appointments.Participate in system improvements; and implement change as directed by leadershipMaintain a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by establishing, following and enforcing infection control standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Maintain a clean and clutter free environmentUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publicationsOther duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.Qualifications:A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Must have proof of current immunization recordsMust be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
