Job Description Alliant Insurance is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst for our Senior Market Sales office in Omaha, NE. The role is based in the office, Monday – Friday, at 8420 W Dodge Rd, Omaha, NE 68114. Position Highlights Location: 8420 W Dodge Rd, Omaha, NE 68114 Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday–Thursday; 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM Friday Preference for experience with Salesforce Summary This position ensures the quality and integrity of all software products produced by or implemented for Senior Market Sales and Affiliates. The analyst monitors and reports on processes and procedures in product development and design, builds and updates testing scenarios and test cases usable in both manual and automated test environments, and develops an elevated level of knowledge of the Senior Market Sales business model and systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Product Testing : Conduct testing on all software products for applicable platforms, using systems analysis techniques; perform backend database testing, including validating stored procedures, jobs, and triggers. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans. Create and maintain automation scripts for new and existing tests. Identify potential quality issues per defined process and immediately report them to management. Isolate, replicate, and report defects, and verify defect fixes. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to build software that meets customer needs. Reporting : Maintain testing progress and discrepancy reporting system; collect metric data for trend analysis; publish test reports and review material before general distribution. Summarize and communicate testing outcomes in meaningful ways. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of test plan/case reviews with cross‑functional team members. Leadership and General Management : Serve as a liaison among clients, operations, and technical staff. Present progress at appropriate meetings, review objectives, identify improvement areas, and develop action plans. Participate in management and administration meetings to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales. Special Projects : Serve on internal and external committees and assist with special projects or assignments as requested by management. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education / Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field. Four (4) or more years of relevant Quality Assurance Technical experience, preferably in the insurance industry or a software company with insurance or marketing‑related experience. Experience in project management and QA methodology, familiarity with Agile frameworks, regression testing, automated testing tools, and processing. Skills Knowledge of general testing strategies, protocols, procedures, software, and best practices. Experience implementing and working with automated testing tools. Working knowledge of insurance services, industries, and product lines. Knowledge of general industry procedures, practices, and terminology, including data processing system and application design methods, techniques, and standards. Knowledge of software product quality testing practices, procedures, and systems. Knowledge of general office forms, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of program and project management, including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement. Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles and procedures. Knowledge of supervisory techniques for instruction, motivation, and training of personnel. Skills to supervise, motivate, and train staff. Negotiation and problem‑solving skills to resolve conflicts. Effective communication materials development. Proficient use of office equipment, including computer, fax, printer, and telephone system. Time management, organizational leadership, and supervisory skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and the public. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Financial analysis, budgeting, and statistical data interpretation. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to engage a wide range of personalities. Patience and emotional control under frustrating circumstances. Independent judgment, decision making, and the ability to work autonomously. Organizational leadership qualities and fostering trusting relationships.
