Job Description Job Description Garnet Educational Services is searching for an in-home (6 hours per day) Instructional Assistant/Para Professional to work with a student attending online classes at their home in Hollidaysburg, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sit with and assistant student during virtual classes (at home), during school day (6 hours per day)
Redirect and encourage focus/keep student attentive during live classes
Facilitate class attendance and participation while in class
Assist with organizational skills and planning for the school week
Work with behavioral support team to implement behavioral strategies
Keep daily log detailing student progress
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years post-secondary education OR earned an associates degree or higher
Preferred experience working in a school district, with school aged students or with individuals with special needs
Must pass all background checks/clearances for criminal history and child abuse and other school requirements.
