Business Development Representative

Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) on behalf of our client, a company specializing in retirement plans for small and medium-sized businesses. As a key player in the front end of the sales funnel, theBDR will drive outbound prospecting efforts, generate qualified meetings, and help build a strong pipeline for the sales organization. Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting, including cold calling, emailing, and research. Make 120-200+ outbound calls per day using automated dialing tools. Identify and connect with the appropriate decision-makers within target companies. Schedule qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives (RPCs). Hold initial discovery meetings with prospects. Build and manage an active, healthy sales funnel through consistent outreach and pipeline discipline. Collaborate closely with inside and outside sales teams to support deal progression. Maintain accurate records of activities and interactions in Salesforce and outreach automation tools. Achieve and exceed activity targets and meeting quotas throughout the ramp period. Participate in ongoing training and skill development, especially during the initial 6-week learning period. Provide excellent communication and follow-up throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through deal closing and post-funding. Follow structured workflows and adopt feedback to continuously improve performance. Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Experience: Some sales experience preferred (industry-specific experience not required). Experience in B2B outreach or customer-facing roles is a plus. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and speaking confidently on the phone. Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Familiarity with sales engagement tools such as Outreach is a plus. Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: None required. Knowledge: Understanding of B2B sales fundamentals. Basic knowledge of lead qualification and pipeline management. Willingness to learn retirement plan industry fundamentals (training provided).
