This position provides practical nursing care to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental needs in a hospital setting. The role supports patient health, safety, and well-being through direct care and careful observation. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

• Physical Care: Assist patients with daily living needs, provide first aid, and support mobility and safe transfers
• Medication Management: Administer medications, maintain accurate records, and observe patient responses
• Procedural Support: Prepare patients for procedures, collect specimens, and report changes in condition
• Psychosocial Support: Interact with patients using therapeutic communication and assist with behavioral needs
• Infection Control: Follow proper hygiene and sanitation practices to maintain a safe care environment
• Documentation: Record patient information clearly and accurately following facility guidelines

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Rotating weekends, days off, and holiday schedule.
• Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime and travel as needed.

• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).

Necessary Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
• A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
