Recreation / Activities Assistant NHC Hendersonville is looking for a Recreation / Activities Assistant to join our team and assist in providing therapeutic programs that meet each patient's individual needs while creating an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. Applicants should be compassionate, caring, creative, energetic and have knowledge of wellness in long‑term care. Job Details Provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for residents, design and implement wellness programs for Long Term Care, Memory Care or Rehab patients (including weekend/holiday hours), complete assessments and care plans, ensure adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines, and collaborate with staff across departments. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a well‑rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care, or Rehab patients. Complete assessments, care plans, and paperwork in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal programming guidelines. Bring enthusiasm and a "fun" approach to activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Important Skills Strong communication and time‑management skills. Capability to be a team player and collaborate with other departments. Basic typing and computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing calendars, newsletters, and marketing materials.
