POSITION SUMMARY The Receptionist is the first point of contactfor Casa de Modesto and is responsible for managing the front desk on a dailybasis while performing a variety of basic administrative and clerical tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Receivesvisitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcingthem appropriately. 2. Answers,screens, and forwards incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals. 3. Provides information to thegeneral public, residents, visitors, and other interested parties regardingactivities conducted at the organization and location of departments,offices, and to residents. 4. EnsuresReception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery andmaterial (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) 5. Manages the Resident morningcheck-ins. 6. Receives, sortsand distributes daily mail/deliveries. 7. Maintains office security byfollowing safety procedures and controlling access via the Reception desk(monitor logbook, issue visitor badges) 8. Assists withpreparing the quarterly Casa de Modesto Newsletter, Rambler and monthly menusfor distribution to Residents. 9. Schedules Residentappointments and updates appointment calendars. 10. Distributes facility keys to staff as necessary. 11. Creates maintenance work orders for Residents andstaff. 12. Operates office machines,such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems andpersonal computers. 13. Performs other various clerical receptionist tasksas needed and assigned. NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Maintain thehighest level of confidentiality at all times. 2. Maintainbusiness/professional boundaries with all staff, management and outsidevendors. 3. Attends andparticipates in department meetings and other required trainings. 4. Complieswithsafety standards and ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff, residents,and guests at all times. 5. Providesencouragement, guidance and resources to staff and residents when needed. 6. Adheres tocompany and departmental policies and procedures. SAFETY and STANDARD OF CONDUCT The employee will complywith and support the Casa de Modesto Safety program. The employee will complywith and support company Standards of Conduct. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. High schooldiploma or equivalent required. 2. Must be 18years of age or older. 3. Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, orexperience preferred. 4. Ability tooperate and utilize all computer functions and have wide knowledge of programusage including Microsoft Office suite of products. 5. Knowledge ofmodern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment. 6. Must have goodactive listening skills. 7. Strong andeffective customer service, telephone and verbal communication skills. 8. Professionalattitude and appearance. 9. Ability to beresourceful and proactive when issues arise. 10. Ability to read, write and communicate to residents,staff, families, vendors, and all business relationships in English language. 11. Must be able to communicate with all levels of staffin an effective, neutral and professional manner. 12. Ability to function as a member of the team in amulti-task environment. 13. Must be flexible and able to handle multiplepriorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and changingconditions. 14.
