MED-SURG ADULT - REGISTERED NURSE

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Calais, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: MED-SURG

Location: Calais, Maine

Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $56 - $61/hr

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

Direct and coordinate members of the patient care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care

Develop the patient care plan in partnership with physicians, other patient care team members, the patient, and applicable family members

Demonstrate professional nursing practice skills utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients

Provide age-appropriate care for patients including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Promote teamwork with medical staff and personnel throughout the hospital

Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act

Maintain current licensure as an RN or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement

Maintain current BCLS certification

Obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire

Apply excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills

Function independently in the delivery of patient care
