The Opportunity Our client is seeking a builder-operator CFO to professionalize financial operations across headquarters and a highly distributed branch network. This role partners closely with the CEO and executive team to bring structure, predictability, and financial visibility to a rapidly scaling organization. The CFO will be responsible for establishing enterprise-wide budgeting, building true forecasting capabilities, and delivering clear property- and branch-level financial insights to drive profitability. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys creating systems where they don’t yet exist, and is comfortable being deeply involved in day-to-day execution. Core Priorities Enterprise Budgeting (HQ + ~50 Branches) Design and lead the annual budgeting process across corporate and all branch locations (nationally) Create standardized branch-level P&Ls with clear ownership and accountability Partner with regional leaders to align budgets with sales, production, and growth targets Establish monthly budget vs. actual reviews with actionable insights True Forecasting (Forward-Looking Finance) Build rolling forecasts tied to sales pipelines, seasonality, and operational capacity Improve real-time visibility into revenue, margin, and cash flow Develop predictive models to support hiring, inventory, and expansion decisions Move the organization from historical reporting to proactive financial planning Property / Branch Financials Deliver accurate financial reporting by location and project Strengthen job costing, margin tracking, and branch profitability analysis Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation across markets Implement dashboards that clearly show branch and market performance Key Responsibilities Serve as strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team Lead accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance Optimize working capital and cash flow management Build scalable financial processes to support continued geographic expansion Lead financial systems evolution (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards) Develop and mentor a high-performing finance organization Support growth initiatives, including new market launches and potential M&A Elevate financial literacy across operations and regional leadership Operate comfortably in a startup-style environment, balancing strategy with hands-on execution Culture Fit Successful leaders in this organization are: Hands-on builders who enjoy creating structure and clarity Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-changing environments Highly accountable, ownership-minded leaders Invested in developing people and teams High integrity, high energy, low ego Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience Prior CFO or senior finance leadership in construction, home services, multi-site retail, or similarly operational businesses Proven experience managing budgeting and forecasting across distributed locations Strong operational finance background (job costing, branch economics, margin management) Track record building teams and modernizing financial infrastructure Comfortable balancing executive leadership with rolling up sleeves Experience in founder-led or private-equity-backed environments preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Revalorizetalent
