Client is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Analyst to provide enterprise-level technical support, administration, maintenance, and operational oversight for critical infrastructure platforms supporting City departments and business operations.
The selected consultant will be responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting system software across multiple computing environments. This role requires expertise supporting system internals, operating systems, databases, communications software, middleware, and enterprise software packages. The Technical Systems Analyst will ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational continuity through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise supporting enterprise computing environments, including legacy and modern platforms, with experience in IBM VM, VSE/ESA, CICS, VTAM, data communications, databases, and systems software support.
The consultant will work closely with infrastructure teams, database administrators, network engineers, application support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain highly available and reliable systems.


Experience
• 5+ years of Technical Systems Administration or Systems Analyst experience.
• Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining enterprise system software.
• Experience supporting IBM VM environments.
• Experience supporting VSE/ESA operating systems.
• Experience supporting CICS transaction processing environments.
• Experience supporting VTAM and communications software environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise databases and middleware platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting system-level issues and performance problems.
• Experience supporting data communications infrastructure.
• Experience supporting enterprise software packages and utilities.
• Experience performing system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting production environments and mission-critical systems.
