Confidential opportunity with a Texas-based, defense-side litigation practice seeking an Associate Attorney (2 to 5 years) to support a growing construction defect defense docket. This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, collaboration with experienced trial lawyers, and a long-term path within a defense-only platform.

THE ROLE

• Handle construction defect defense matters through key phases of litigation.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motion practice; prepare persuasive written advocacy.
• Conduct legal research, factual investigation, and case strategy analysis.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and client communications as matters progress.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to drive efficient defense outcomes.

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location:

Texas (local to the Dallas metro area).

Schedule:

Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Compensation:

$115,000 to $165,000 base salary (commensurate with experience).

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, including construction defect defense.
• Active Texas Bar license.
• Currently based in Texas; no relocation assistance is available.
• Defense-side litigation background (plaintiff-only backgrounds are not a fit for this search).

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Graduation from a Texas law school.
• Insurance defense exposure.
• Strong legal writing skills and comfort managing deadlines and competing priorities.
• Interest in long-term career progression within one platform.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Annual billable target: 2,000 hours.
