Food Runner

Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and energetic Food Runner to join our hot pot restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a key role in delivering food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, assisting servers, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. This position is essential to ensuring smooth service and an excellent guest experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner Ensure all hot pot ingredients, soup bases, and side dishes are presented correctly Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers regarding orders and special requests Assist servers by refilling water, clearing used plates, and resetting tables Help maintain the cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and walkways Support opening and closing side work as assigned Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Assist with restocking supplies when needed Qualifications & Requirements Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs Team-oriented with a positive attitude Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Basic English communication skills preferred (bilingual is a plus) Work Experience Entry-level position; training will be provided Experience as a food runner, busser, or server assistant is a plus Skills Time management and multitasking Communication and teamwork Customer service mindset Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay + tips Employee meal discounts Flexible scheduling Opportunities for growth within the restaurant Happy Lamb Hot Pot offers an authentic Inner Mongolian dining experience, featuring premium, tender lamb sourced globally and a signature 6-hour, collagen-rich broth.
