Program Instructor

Medically Focused Direct Support Professional Location: Whittier, CA, US Job Type: Full Time Salary: $20.00 – $22.50 per hour Day Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-2pm (Saturday and Sunday OFF) Responsibilities Assist with initial and ongoing assessment of participants, collaborating with individuals, families, and support agencies. Provide first aid, basic medical treatment, and documentation of interventions. Support participants in daily routines including personal grooming, mobility, job skills, socialization, and coping strategies. Actively communicate with stakeholders and advocate for treatment or equipment modifications. Participate in required training and meetings; demonstrate and coach C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, empowerment). Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent, age 18 or older. At least one year of experience with individuals having intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or medical fragility. Valid driver’s license with California automobile insurance to use personal vehicle for community visits; must be at least 21 if a company vehicle is used. English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
