We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients finance team in Boca Raton, Florida. This role supports core accounting operations by maintaining accurate records, assisting with monthly close activities, and contributing to timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accrual-related general ledger activity, including the preparation and validation of supporting entries.

• Reconcile bank accounts against ledger balances and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Record cash movement through timely bank-related journal entries and maintain complete documentation.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations each month and resolve outstanding reconciling items.

• Review recurring entries and prepaid schedules to confirm proper monthly accounting treatment.

• Contribute to month-end close by completing assigned accounting tasks within required timelines.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Compile audit support materials and organize records needed for internal or external review.

• Provide cross-functional coverage for accounting teammates when needed and support special assignments from leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.

• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and core general ledger processes.

• Experience supporting financial statement preparation and month-end reporting activities.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with particular strength in Excel and Outlook.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• High level of integrity, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information.

• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently under tight deadlines
