Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.

Unit Details: Patient population includes total joint replacements, colon resection, gallbladder, appendectomy, amputations, medical overflow, hip fractures, SBO, and NG tubes. RN ratios: Days 1:4-6; Nights 1:5-6; in surge staffing could see ratios up to 1:7-8. Unit support includes CNA coverage, HUC/receptionist, charge/resource nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry monitoring/tech. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH), as needed, within scope of practice.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
