Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Basic Med/Tele skillset required, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.

Special Requests: RTO can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: Fast-paced observation unit with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and other diagnoses. RN ratio is 1:5-6 on days and nights; in surge staffing, ratios could be up to 1:7-8. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Masimo monitors in all rooms. Telemetry monitoring is remote with tele tech.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Potential to be placed on low census call; RNs can be called off for the entire day or placed on call up until 0300/1500. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 and within scope of practice as needed: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
